Employment History

1983 to present: Self-employed as consultant in design and training for building automation systems and microprocessor-based control products.

1980 to 1982: Brown-Boveri Control Systems, Inc. Regional automation systems engineer responsible for application development and system installations.

1965 to 1979: Robertshaw Controls Company. Various positions ranging from Field Applications Engineer responsible for automation system development to Assistant Manager, Engineering and Development with departmental responsibility for twelve Computer Systems Engineers.

1963 to 1965: Union Carbide International. Industrial engineer assigned to German subsidiary engaged in manufacture of fractional horsepower DC motors.

Education

Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering and Certificate of Advanced Engineering Study, Cornell University, Ithaca, N.Y., 1962.

Additional study in computers and control theory at Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule, Aachen, Germany, 1963.

Fluent in German; familiar with Spanish and French; some study in Japanese and Portuguese.
